From Ms. Wiese…

Learning to read and a love for learning begins at birth. A new mother utters, “Shhh!” as a child enters this world and the journey to learn to read has begun with a key element, the sound of digraph /sh/!  My journey to learn as much as I could about teaching reading began as a 5th grade ELA teacher responsible for teaching a 5th grade student on a 1st grade level! How was that possible? The pursuit to the answer to that question has guided my educational journey and has opened a path that continues attempting to fine tune and perfect strategies that enable students to learn the building blocks of reading thus learning to read becoming easier. My passion lies in unlocking the mystery of learning to read fluently!

I enjoy traveling, reading a good mystery novel, storytelling,  riding a bicycle, dancing, water aerobics, singing karaoke, and love new challenges both personally and professionally.

My favorite pastime is playing creatively with my granddaughter!

I am blessed to be a part of this amazing team at Shady Oak Primary School. I look forward to sharing the teamwork necessary to grow successful lifelong learners!
