If you can relate to the questions above, you’re not alone — and you’ve come to the right place. I’m Debbie Elder, and I’m devoted to helping you, the parent, raise your children to be leaders, champions of their emotions, and lifetime learners. When children learn in an environment that supports their development, real advances take place. Students deserve a solid academic foundation in the three R’s. Allowing a child the time to learn completely and with mastery improves overall performance, self-confidence, and self-esteem.
Just imagine a happy child each morning who can’t wait to go to school. Imagine picking up your child from school and he or she feels successful, validated, and smart. This is not a pipe dream. In fact, it’s the new reality for parents and children in Fort Bend County who are willing to explore the many benefits of a child centered curriculum – and it can be YOUR reality too.
Unfortunately, many parents are struggling with overcrowded classrooms, miserable children, and developmentally inappropriate curriculum. They’re not satisfied with the current level of free education. They’re tired of dealing with hours of homework, especially when their child is still only in elementary school! Students are working themselves into exhaustion as they work towards completing homework, only to end up feeling just as stuck as ever. The education game has changed, and we can’t help but feel that these kids are being left behind.
If you’ve been experiencing any of this, know that it’s OK. It’s not your fault, you just haven’t been shown how to position your child in a school that puts the educational, emotional, and social needs of the students first! You haven’t been given the appropriate tools, systems, and PLAN to get you where you want your children to be. You’re feeling lost because you’ve most likely got TOO much information, too many moving parts, and not enough practical, step-by-step help.
Shady Oak was truly a gift to our son and to us. The underlying and overarching theme of this school is to love and nurture. I don't have insight into the original business plans, but I have no doubt that these two characteristics were the foundation that everything was to be built upon. Our son has life-long friends he made at Shady Oak and the personal attention made learning fun! He still loves to learn these 15 years later. There is no other place like it for your child!
It doesn’t have to be this way. You can set your child up for success, improve their feelings of self-confidence and self-awareness, and have the successful, fulfilling family you’ve always wanted – and do it on YOUR terms. I invite you to discover how much simpler and rewarding it can be to have your child attending a school where every student is valued, prepared, and equipped to be successful in school and in life.
Your child is meant to soar! I can’t wait to help guide you on your journey to a happier, successful, confident child who LOVES to learn! Call 281-344-1291 or email nwenzel@ShadyOakPrimary.com to book your tour today!
